So why don’t we really plan our time, why do we let others manage it?

Organizing your time doesn’t mean we do more, as many people assume. It means that we are more efficient and can devote more time to important thing, that we otherwise do not have time for, and we push them aside.

There are as many answers as there are individuals, but everything connects as following:

1. I SET MY GOALS

People who have their goals and know where they are going, will not allow others to manage their time, lead them elsewhere. That is why it is important that we have a goal that is ours, attracts us and is realistic. There are many methods of setting goals, but it is important that they are realistic in setting deadlines, the expected result and, above all, that we persist. Even when we are not in our best skin. It helps to visualize the end result, to find a symbol or image that reminds us, why this is important to us.

2. WE ARE MOTIVATED FOR CHANGE

The organization of time is associated with changes in habits, a change of mindset, and all of this is not easy. When we are motivated and see an attractive change in the future, it is easier for us. The winning motivation is the one that comes from within us, with which we identify and is our ally. In everyday tasks, the result is visible immediately, making it easier to maintain commitment. We focus on successes and what we have achieved (and not what was not OK), positive inner monologues help.

3. LET'S MAKE A PLAN

Everyone knows best what time management tools are close to him. Of course, we can always test what works best for us. Some swear by schedules, some by “post it” tickets, for some a “to do” list is necessary for the coming day. For all of them, joint planning and reflection on the priority of tasks, is common. One useful tool for setting priorities is also the Eisenhower matrix.

4. I AUTOMATE / DELEGATE / DELETE THINGS

The technique today is amazing, many tasks can be automated. There is no need to do repetitive tasks ourselves, they can be automated using tools. Equally, there is a part of the tasks that we can either delegate or someone else is more skilled and faster than us. And third, one part of the tasks can also be deleted. It is up to us to judge which of the above can be used.

Each of us can gain an extra hour of time a day, either by getting up an hour earlier or by doing part of the commitments in the evening, when the rest of the family goes to bed. Or he plans the day, checks several times what has already been done and what is still in the works. And, of course, by planning small "escapes", time that we dedicate to ourselves. If we see the light in a time of chaos working from home, we will find it easier to get through everyday life. And just about every day is great for reflection and ACTIVITIES that will lead us to manage our own time and not let others do it.
